POSITION SUMMARY:

Assists merchandising department with transactional activities where needed and works closely with the OpCo departments Assist in supporting OpCo sales by addressing and resolving questions and requests in a timely manner utilizing detailed knowledge of products, systems and tools Acts as liaison between OpCo Sales, Planners, Product Support Advisors and Planners/Advisors as related to merchandising activities

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Merchandising point of contact for sales, national accounts and health care account inquiries (communication router)

  • Provides tracking and updates as needed for department events – new customer on/off boarding, merchandising metrics, company metrics, etc.

  • As requested organizes and publishes merchandising and marketing information to sales (market conditions, promotions, product information, urgent updates etc.) Track and trace special orders, Demand Status late inbound trucks, and other operational requests for the sales team

  • Assist sales on basic product inquiries

  • Monitor the drop-ship process by confirming orders are shipped and invoiced in a timely manner

  • Process special orders (Non-Stock items)

  • Process Demand status orders and ensure timely execution of related activities (Confirmations, Receiving, and Allocation)

  • Manage the process flow for new item stocking request to ensure timely completion and maintain documentation

  • Create and/or maintain proprietary charting per manager/director/vp approval

  • Process all merchandising related scripts including price management and market costs

  • Handle overflow sales support

  • Execute enterprise purchasing initiatives

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Strong excel skills

  • Experience working within a retail, wholesale or distribution environment

  • Bachelor's degree

Education and / or Experience:

  • 1+ year experience. Purchasing/merchandising experience.

  • Experience in purchasing, merchandising, sales and/or customer service.

  • High school diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience in lieu of degree sufficient to successfully perform essential job functions.

Professional Skills:

  • Strong communicator with excellent relationship-building skills across a variety of stakeholders

  • Ability to resolve conflicts quickly, research issues, and follow up with timely communication to all key stake holders

  • Ability to quickly learn understand systems to answer basic inquires without escalating

  • Strong attention to details and follow up

  • Ability to perform in a fast paced environment

  • Strong organizational and planning skills required

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
