POSITION SUMMARY:

Serve as Project Manager on our Corporate Integration team leading coordination efforts across the enterprise. Will drive enterprise wide multi-disciplinary collaboration efforts and also assess risks that would impact each Sysco entity. Establishes agenda, prepares and runs all cross functional and full group working sessions. Works with Finance team to assess deal performance and provide ongoing reporting on deal progress; flags areas of opportunity to review with Integration Lead. Takes lead on drafting communications packages under guidance of communications team

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop and maintain checklists, project plans and identify critical path items

  • Call out areas where cross-functional engagement is required and ensure teams are coordinating

  • Solicit status updates from the working groups, determine the status of action plan items, and communicate those that are at risk

  • Work with teams to develop contingencies in advance of unexpected delays or costs and mitigate those that do occur, escalating issues as needed

  • Identify lessons learned and ensure they are incorporated into future plans

  • Maintain SharePoint site, document repositories, and routinely audit security access

  • Maintain the integration calendar and identify date and resource conflicts

  • Set working group meeting agendas, solicit items in advance of meeting

  • Create, update, distribute and preserve meeting materials

  • Encourage participation and input from all group members

  • Record meeting notes and action items

  • Ensure action items are assigned to a responsible party, are time-bound, and follow-up regularly to compile status updates

  • Ensure open items are addressed

  • Understand the deal rationale and deal model

  • Coordinate with the corporate M&A team, market finance teams, and field finance teams on financial performance versus the deal model

  • Compile summary-level financial reports

  • Identify issues that place the financial performance of the deal at risk and problem-solve with finance, integration team, and working groups on solutions, communicate to integration lead

  • Ensure learnings are incorporated into future deal models

  • Validate earnout tracking mechanisms and review monthly with integration lead

  • Engage with annual operating planning process to ensure alignment with deal model

  • Drive a consistent customer-first message of excitement, engagement, and value

  • Serve as a liaison to the corporate communications team

  • Ensure communication timelines and materials are aligned with project plans

  • Tailor communications to the specific needs of the field audience, respect local cultural norms

REQUIRED MINIMUM EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

  • 4 year bachelor’s degree required

  • Advanced degree (MBA or other) preferred

  • PMP Certification preferred

  • 5 years of industry experience with 2+ years of Sysco experience working in a finance, project management, or communications role preferred

  • Working understanding of all areas of the value chain: procurement, sales and marketing, field execution, and corporate functions

  • Experience presenting to executive leadership in a thoughtful, compelling manner

  • Experience working with complex, multi-dimension teams in fast paced, dynamic environment

  • Exceptional communication skills including written, verbal and visualizations

  • Ability to think and act proactively rather than reactively

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, stand, walk and use hands and fingers to operate a computer keyboard, mouse, and telephone to talk and hear. The employee is frequently required to sit and reach with hands and arms. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

  • This position can be performed from the Corporate facility.

  • Must be able to do limited travel to Sysco facilities or operating companies.

  • If working remote, must have required software to ensure timely communications and have a dedicated work space free of any distractions and participate in conference calls in a business friendly environment.
