Provides technical leadership to the product team in execution of work through extensive development experience. Fluent across the full stack and supports the Product Owner in shaping opportunities into small, deliverable units of work in line with product priorities; ensures consistency of finished product with the needs identified.
Sysco is looking for full-time, talented, hard-working professionals to help drive value from Revenue Management initiatives and optimize pricing performance.
Oversees agile development activities for a product and leads the development of key mechanisms that support agile delivery
Coordinates cross team dependencies and collaborates between various groups to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues on a daily basis
Assists with exceptionally complex technical solutions and operates in capacity of a lead developer / coder for the team(s) supporting the product
Provides guidance around architecture, development practices and processes to other team members, helping them achieve technical excellence and remove obstacles to delivery
Engages with other technical stakeholders (operations, enterprise architecture, etc.) as necessary to manage technical requirements; facilitates estimation of costs and effort of work items
Keeps the team honest during team stand-ups and meetings (estimating and planning, iteration startup and closedown, daily standup, retrospectives, etc.)
Ensures that the delivery team commits to achievable and realistic goals and includes the entire team in the estimation / planning process to obtain diverse perspectives
Leads technical team members in delivering work, and coaches and mentors junior resources to develop technical skillsets
Provides after hours support, as needed
Bachelor's degree in CS or 5-7 years of escalating development experience, including 1 year in a dev focused leadership role
8–12+ years of experience in developing high performance and highly scalable applications in an agile environment, depending on education
Strong understanding of Scrum, Lean, XP, Kanban and other agile development techniques
Fluency in DevOps, including continuous integration, continuous deployment / delivery, configuration and containerization, infrastructure as a code, and monitoring
Strong experience operating in an AWS environment is desired. Hands on experience with best practices of web services development and integration.
Demonstrated “agile-development” mindset with strong customer-focus & results-orientation
Flexible mindset (not married to a single language) and demonstrated ability to grow skillset and work across the full technology stack
Excellent technical and analytical skills to discuss problems, analyze solutions and enable improvement
Excellent communication skills to effectively manage key business stakeholder relationships
Highly proficient in teamwork and collaboration skills
