We currently have 2 openings for our Warehouse Lead. We have a 2nd and 3rd Shift opening. The positions will be responsible for overseeing warehouse floor operations and performing various warehouse duties while following preferred work methods and company policies.

The Warehouse Lead is primarily assigned to: Assist with supervising warehouse personnel to complete tasks in an orderly and efficient manner. Tasks include receiving, shipping, loading, checking, and monitoring lift operators. Leads will also perform these duties and tasks while keeping the warehouse in an organized, safe, and sanitary condition. Responsible for implementing and executing Sysco IFG’s Food Safety Policy.
Provides support within the scope of operations. Duties will include any of the warehouse functions or duties. EX. (Loading, receiving, checking etc.).
Ensuring warehouse is maintained in a safe and sanitary manner, relaying to appropriate personnel if tasks need completion.
Assist in helping train/retrain associates on performance and safety topics.
Provides coverage for Warehouse Supervisor on days off. Also provides support in starting or closing shifts when needed.
Conducts / assists in pre/ post shift walk through to ensure warehouse is in a secure and safe manner. Conducts daily pre shift meetings and stretches.
Performing other operations duties as assigned by management.
The Warehouse Lead must:
Have 6 months to 1 year warehouse experience in increasingly responsible positions.
Have a High School Diploma or its equivalent.
Effectively communicate (including reading, writing, and speaking) in English.
The Warehouse Lead must be able to:
Operate warehouse equipment to include a Stand up Forklift and pallet jack.
Work in both ambient and freezer temperatures; Freezer (-10), Cooler (36) and Dry Side (70’s) of Warehouse for extended periods of time.
Frequently lift 50lbs and occasionally lift up to 80 lbs.
Stand for long periods of time, with frequent walking.
Have the ability to read and speak English.
* The work load can vary significantly. Associates in this role must have the flexibility to work shifts that may include long hours and have varying shift start and end times. Longer workloads occur during the busy season.
