We currently have an opening for a Warehouse Supervisor, Monday – Friday, 5:00 am to finish. This purpose of a Warehouse Supervisor is to supervise warehouse personnel to ensure an efficient and orderly completion of receiving, shipping, selection, checking and loading of orders while maintaining the warehouse in an organized, safe, and sanitary fashion. Responsible for implementing and executing Sysco IFG’s Food Safety Policy.
The Warehouse Supervisor’s primary responsibilities are:
Ensures warehouse is maintained in a safe and sanitary manner, communicates to appropriate personnel if tasks need completion.
Assigns and balances daily workload to warehouse personnel. Assists with receiving, storing, selecting, loading, or checking when needed.
Compiles shift reports including productivity and accuracy statistics and shares with Ops Management team.
Coaches and Trains/Retrains associates on performance and safety topics; completes COACH cards and preferred work method assessments. Assists with Safety incident investigations when needed.
Safety - Conducts daily pre shift meetings and stretches. Maintains PM’s for MHE and collects monthly OSHA Cards.
Conducts Pre/ Post shift walk through to ensure warehouse is in a safe and secure manner.
Other duties as assigned.
Warehouse Supervisor Qualifications:
The Warehouse Supervisor must have the following:
A High School Diploma or its equivalent
2 - 3 years warehouse experience in increasingly responsible positions. 2 years of supervisory experience preferred.
Warehouse Supervisor Skills:
Ability to communicate effectively in English (in email and verbally)
Proficient with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
Have good organizational and time management skills.
Have the ability to prioritize, multitask and work under a high stress environment.
Have very strong attention to detail.
Must be Self-Motivated and hard work driven.
Must be able to follow Preferred Work Methods.
Must be able to work safely in all areas of the warehouse.
Be able to work Monday – Friday, 5:00 am to finish.
* The work load can vary significantly. Associates in this role must have the flexibility to work shifts that may include long hours and have varying shift start and end times. Longer workloads may occur during the busy season.
