JOB TITLE: Sourcing Manager

LOCATION: Houston, Texas

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Sysco Corporation seeks Sourcing Manager to conduct negotiations with suppliers and perform strategic sourcing functions for specified categories as part of the category management process. Manage ongoing cost base and supplier relationship activities such as cost changes, earned income program alterations, and earned income program expirations. Negotiate net cost and Earned Income programs for assigned categories/suppliers. For category management events, negotiate and make supplier award recommendations to include planning and aligning the coordination of best in class transportation and storage/distribution solutions to management. Negotiate ongoing cost-based activities such as cost changes, program alterations, Earned Income program expirations, and category renewals/extensions. Communicate results of negotiation activities. Conduct on-going sourcing activities that support the category post award. Manage and validate steady state change requests. Develop industry overviews and supplier profiles for each assigned category. Create cost component worksheets for supplier clean-sheet cost buildup, ensure storage and distribution points properly assigned to mitigate cost and supply continuity risk. Ensure legal documentation is completed (Hold Harmless, Certificate of Insurance, Supplier Authorization Agreement, Bid Award Purchase Agreement, Terms Change Form). Continually identify new suppliers and initiate process to engage them. Engage suppliers and refine supplier/product fact base throughout the category management process. Coach suppliers throughout the category process to ensure active participation. Perform strategic sourcing function for specified categories including negotiating, finding and onboarding new suppliers, conflict resolution and problem solving. Prepare and make supplier award recommendations to senior sourcing leadership.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

Master's degree in Industrial Engineering or closely related field and 2 years' experience in sourcing/procurement role within the food service industry, including developer experience with Tableau software, supply chain principles and dynamics, and statistics and quantitative analysis techniques using Excel and visual basic applications in Access Database

ALTERNATE REQUIREMENTS:

Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or closely related field and 4 years' experience in sourcing/procurement role within the food service industry, including developer experience with Tableau software, supply chain principles and dynamics, and statistics and quantitative analysis techniques using Excel and visual basic applications in Access Database
